Privacy policy

ProdIQ is operated by MZE IQ LLC. This policy describes what ProdIQ holds about the people who use it, and what we do with it.

1. Who holds your information, and who decides what is collected

ProdIQ is software sold to businesses. If you are a member of a company’s crew, your employer decides what information goes into ProdIQ and who inside their company can see it. They control that data; MZE IQ LLC stores and processes it on their behalf. Questions about why a particular piece of information is held, or requests to change or remove it, go to your employer first. We will help them act on your request.

2. What we hold about a crew member

• Identity and contact: name, email address, mobile number, employment type, and an optional payroll identifier your employer uses.
• Work profile: home base, nearest airport, time zone, department, skills, and certifications with their validity dates.
• Schedule and time: shifts you are offered, accept or decline; clock-in and clock-out times; hours worked and overtime.
• Location. When you clock in or out, ProdIQ records your device’s latitude and longitude, the accuracy of that reading, and how far you were from the job site. This confirms that a clock event happened at the site. It is recorded at the moment you clock in or out and at no other time. ProdIQ does not track your location between clock events, and does not track you at all when you are not working.
• Pay: your pay rate and the amounts calculated for hours you worked.
• Expenses: claims you submit — amount, category, description, date, and any receipt you attach.
• Attendance: whether you worked, were late, or did not appear, and any note your employer recorded about it.
• Messaging: your mobile number, whether you consented to text messages, the exact wording you were shown when you consented, and whether you have opted out.
• Sign-in: a one-time link is emailed to you. We store a hashed form of that link and its expiry, never a password.

3. What we do not do

We do not sell your information. We do not use it for advertising. We do not build a profile of you for anyone other than your own employer, and we do not combine your data across different employers.

4. Who else sees it

• Your employer, limited by the permissions they have set. Pay information in particular is restricted to the people they authorize.
• Service providers who operate ProdIQ for us — hosting, database, email delivery and, for text messages, our messaging carrier. They act on our instructions and may not use your data for their own purposes.
• Nobody else, unless the law requires it.

5. How long it is kept

Records are kept while your employer uses ProdIQ and for as long as they need them for employment, tax and payroll purposes. Some records are deliberately permanent: a record that you opted out of text messages is kept indefinitely, because deleting it would allow messages to start again.

6. Security

Access requires signing in. Every change to crew, pay and schedule data is written to an append-only audit record. Sign-in links are stored hashed and expire.

7. Your rights

You may ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Start with your employer, since they control the record. Where the law gives you a right your employer cannot satisfy alone, write to info@mzeiq.com and we will act.

8. Children

ProdIQ is for people working for a business. It is not for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly hold their information.

9. Text messaging and your consent

We will not share your opt-in to an SMS campaign with any third party for purposes unrelated to providing you with the services of that campaign.

All of the categories above exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

10. Changes

If this policy changes we will update the effective date above. If a change affects how text messages or location data are handled, we will say so plainly rather than only changing the date.
